Feb 2, 2025

RICHMOND, Va. — Executives from the Virginia National Guard Association, Inc., returned from the annual National Guard Executive Directors Association conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where they helped finalize plans for the 147th General Conference and Exhibition of the National Guard Association of the United States is held August 22-25, 2025.

The National Guard Association of the United States’ General Conference & Exhibition is the association’s annual business meeting. More than 4,000 Army and Air National Guard officers from all 50 states, three territories and the District of Columbia gather to network, set their legislative agenda, and hear from America’s civilian and military leaders. Family members, industry representatives and local officials also attend.

The VNGA’s planners viewed all the proposed conference venues, activities, and selected lodging for the NGAUS conference.

After thorough review of the available hotels in the area, the delegation selected the Aloft Milwaukee Downtown by Marriott. Steps away from the scenic RiverWalk, this downtown Milwaukee hotel is one mile away from Marquette University and offers a 24-hour fitness center, indoor pool and free WiFi. Featuring large windows and 9-foot high ceilings, every room at aloft Hotel Milwaukee Downtown includes a 42-inch flat-screen LCD TV, small refrigerator and workstation with large desk and ergonomic chair. A small refrigerator and coffee machine are also included. Guests can enjoy a drink at W XYZ Bar or sip while playing pool at the hotel lounge. A 24-hour snack shop, meeting and event space are all offered at Downtown Milwaukee aloft Hotel. Fiserv Forum is a 5-minute walk away from the hotel. The Milwaukee Art Museum is a 9-minute drive away.
